The third paper presentation session of the FITCE Congress was scheduled on the morning of Friday 7th September 2018 and comprised four papers that examined issues associated with digital media from the user's point of view. This included both the impact on the viewing experience and also the implications for regulation. The session was introduced and chaired by José Van Ooteghem representing FITCE, Belgium.

Brahim Allan is a member of the Video Delivery Research Group within BT Technology, Service & Operations. The session chair, José Van Ooteghem provided an overview of the session before introducing Brahim.
Ed Smith, BT
“What is the future for media in the Post Information Age?”
This paper was jointly authored by Ed Smith who is a Research Fellow at BT and Mauro Ugolini from the Department of Engineering, Roma Tre University, Rome, Italy. The session chair, José Van Ooteghem introduced Ed who presented the work.
